New beginnings

Wow - I never thought I would get my blog back! It's taken me so long to fix it, so I'm glad to have that over with (Thank you Lynsey for your help!)

Well, it's new beginnings for Casey and I right now. I am starting a new job on the 28th. I'll be doing the same thing as before (speeching to old people!) but in a different place and for a new company. I'll be working in Slaton primarily and in Lubbock off and on as they need me. I am very excited to be so close to home! But I Hate (with a capital H) changing jobs. I think that's one of the hardest things in life (for me anyway). Getting oriented to a new place and new people drives me crazy! I feel really comfortable where I'm at and I don't enjoy being knocked out of that comfort zone. It'll be a good thing though, I'm pretty confident of that.

Casey is in the process of switching jobs also. He really wants to do Primerica full-time and I think he could be really good at it. The problem is it isn't steady income at first, you have to build your business and clientele (sp?) I guess you could say. So I really hope it works for him because I haven't seen him this excited about anything (except the baby of course) in a long time. I would be lying if I said it didn't make me a little nervous, I enjoy being secure, and with the baby on the way I'm a little more anxious and scared about it than I would've been a year ago. But we're giving it a go this fall, and hopefully by Christmas he'll have it going really well.

I'm 5 1/2 months now, getting bigger everyday and feeling terrific. I have bad times every now and then, but not very often at all. It's a great time. We've started setting up the nursery, and have our crib and changing table in there, even though we still have to paint (I guess we'll paint around them!). Here's a picture of the crib. I couldn't find one for the changing table but it matches the crib.

We went with cherry finish even though EVERYTHING in our house is cherry! It just had a nice look about it. I think it will be nice.

That's it from me right now! Hope everyone's well - leave me comments, I would love to hear from you!

Good luck with your new job! I know EXACTLY what you mean - you're comfortable with the people, etc. I think that's what I am the most afraid about with my new job. Today is my last day here...sigh....
I love the crib! That's exactly what I would pick out. Did you get it at babiesrus??
Are you going to the game next weekend??
Love ya!

How was your first day?? I'm sorry that you are having to deal with that on top of everything else going on right now. I bet you will LOVE being so much closer to home, though. Especially during the end of your pregnancy. I am THRILLED for you - even though it will be hard for a little while. And do I know what Primerica is? Tell Casey good luck going full time with that, too. YOu guys are going to be super busy this fall!

I LOVE your crib! I just love that cherry wood ... its so pretty. Is it one of those that changes into the toddler and twin beds? Glad you are feeling good. I cannot WAIT to see you! Keep posting pics of your cute prego self!!

Casey's getting into financial services (insurance, mutual funds, etc.) He's super excited about it. Thanks for the nice commnets on the crib! We like it - We did get it at Babies R US (love that store!) It is a convertible crib, so it changes into a toddler bed and then eventually into a headborad and footboard for a regular bed. Pretty neat. Thanks for the support about my job. I am almost through my first week and I really like it so far. The people I am working with are very nice. I think it's going to work out!
